We've caught good numbers of Spotted Bass the past 2 days on a variety of baits/techniques.  Jigs, Spot Stickers, Jerkbaits, and even one huge Spot on a Swimbait. 

Out today with Jonathan Raymer, his father, and two brothers.  The Raymers were looking for some Striper action so most of our day was spent chasing the elusive salty's.  We fished from 7am-Lunch and boated a handful of nice Stripers including a another BIG Hybrid pushingten pounds!!!

Out with Rick Graham and Scott Patton today.  We boated 20+ Spots fishing Spot Stickers around channel swings in the river from 15-30ft deep.  Most of our Spots were smaller but we I did boat this 4.5lb Spot around 11am in 30ft of water.  We also boated a few on Jerkbaits and Crankbaits but the worm bite was the medicine today.

Water Temp: 60-62

Out both weekend days and the bite has improved.  Spot Stickers, Jigs, Jerkbaits, and Crankbaits are all producing fish right now.  Most the fish I'm catching are less than 30ft. 

The Hybrid Bite is starting to heat up early morning and late evening.  Here's a few big Hybrids from yesterday.

Overall the bite is picking up, the past week we've boated some really big Spots. Numbers are still on the low side but if you like to fish for big fish this is a good time. We've boated at least one big Spot each trip with as many as three last Friday.

We've had to mix things up a lot to get the big fish to bite but we've made it happen. All the Spots pictured were caught on either 1/2 or 3/4 Assassinator Spinnerbaits (gold/shiner), Swimbaits, or Jerkbaits. We've also boated a few fish each day on Jig Heads and Drop Shots fished from 10ft to as deep as 50ft each day as well.
