Fishing Report April 2014
Sorry for the lack of reports as of late, things are crazy busy for me right now. Let me start by saying I only a few openings in May and still plenty of prime openings for June, July, and August. The Summer bite is my favorite of the year, great time to get the family/clients out and show them a good time. Always plenty of fish to go around during the Summer! Drop me a line and lets reserve your family trip this summer! Now here's a quick report and some pics. "Recent Trips" Gallery is updated too, so check out our latest pics there.
The bite is vastly improving over the past few weeks. Spotted Bass are in full Spring spawning mode, I'm seeing lots of cruisers and have already caught a few fish that are definitely post spawn. Our biggest group will spawn over the next couple of weeks but there are fish moving shallower by the day. Spotsticker's, Flukes, and Strike King topwaters are working best right now. 8-12ft of water seems to be key.
The Striper are biting good as well. I've been starting my trips very early and catching a few on Strike King Jerkbaits as well as livebait.
