Hope everyone had a great Christmas holiday, I know my family and I did.  The bite has been good.  A variety of patterns are working right now both deep and shallow.  I've had some great trips over the past 2 weeks and look forward to 2013 and hopefully meeting many new clients!  Here's a quick rundown on patterns and a few pics

Lake Level: Full from our recent rains

Clarity: great 8ft+

I'm focusing on main-lake channel swings w/ Spro Jerkbaits, Davis Underspins, and Float n' Flys in Red Rooster Carters Special and Threadfin Shad using 10-12ft leaders.  Here's a great pic of two big Spots my client and I doubled simultaneously using the Underspin and Jerkbait last week.  

I've also had success fishing out deep in the afternoon with football jigs, drop shots, and jigging spoons fishing depths from 20-50ft focusing on the back end of creeks and deep points that intersect the channel.

The Striper and Hybrid have also been showing up on my Livebait trips.  We've caught a few lately and I expect this bite to improve with the cooler temps coming.  As always we catch plenty of big Spotted Bass while looking for the Stripers.  Here's Roy from Tampa, FL with a 40+ inch 30lb Striper.
