Fishing Report, Mid-September

Fall is in the air at Carters Lake.  The days are getting shorter, the air is getting cooler, the Braves just clinched a playoff birth, and the Falcons are 3-0!  What a great start to our Fall this year!  Check out these two monster Spotted Bass from today while out with regular client Allen S.

You have to fish fast and cover a ton of water, most of it is un-productive water too.  Keep an eye open for surfacing fish and keep the other eye on your Humminbird electronics for schooling underneath the surface.  Topwater, Swimbaits, Underspins, and Spoons will all produce in these situations.  The main thing is to cover water and do it fast.  This bite lasts approx 3hours and it's over.  If you don't hit the right area it will seem like the lake is dead but if you hit that magic point, hump, or pod of bait, bar the door and hold on.

I have days open in October.
